Live Chick Shipping Information

Shipping Policy

Live chicks require a minimum quantity of 3 in order to ship, if less than 3 chicks is ordered extra male chicks will be included to reach the 3 chick minimum and are shipped with priority mail express only.  Extra male chicks may be included for warmth if needed.

Live Chick Policy

We guarantee that you will receive the amount of live chicks that you ordered through priority mail express shipping.  At times, extra chicks may or may not be included to ensure that you receive the amount of chicks that you ordered live upon arrival.  If losses do occur in shipment and you do receive fewer live birds upon arrival than you ordered, an adjustment will be made as long as you have contacted me within 24 hours upon arrival.  Losses must be reported within 24 hours upon arrival.  These losses may be reported through email, chat, or our facebook messenger page. 

 

You must use a heat source that can maintain a temperature of at least 100 degrees for the first 48 hours in the warm area of your brooder and have a cool area for the chicks to get away from the heat when needed. Riverside Farm does not guarantee mortalities or morbidities after the safe and timely delivery day of arrival.  There is no guarantee for pickup orders after the poultry leaves our hands.

Riverside Farm is unable to refund or replace any poultry after it has arrived safe and in a timely manner. Our pricing is not setup to incur these types of expenses and risk beyond that point. Our replacement or refund policy is only for unsafe or unusually long shipping risks that the USPS causes and must be reported immediately.

 

 Buying live poultry has inherent risk of successfully raising them and is a buyer’s risk. Sometimes things go wrong without any real reason that can be determined even when care instructions are followed.
